About Delhi College of Engineering:
Established in the year of 1940, Delhi college of Engineering has distinct place among all the reputed engineering colleges of India, the affiliation to Delhi University, one of the Central University of India has a significant role in building up solid academic system of DCE.
At undergraduate level DCE has both Btech (Part time) and BE courses in engineering. Over last few years the contribution of DCE be it the first Hybrid car of India or the Bio Diesel for Rural India bears the testimony of the academics and R&D facilities at DCE. 
Admission to full time BE courses are held through CEE and AIEEE,  

About NSIT:
NSIT previously Known as DIT was established in the year of 1983, with an excellent placement record for the students and with excellent infrastructure NSIT is indeed one of the top Engineering institute in India . NSIT is one of the very few government engineering colleges with the department of Bio-technology. During last few years NSIT has been highly acclaimed by both the print and electronics media for the outstanding achievements by the students of NSIT in motorsports.

The Admission to the Undergraduate courses of NSIT is held through CEE and AIEEE.
About CEE
The CEE has a distinct place among all the engineering entrance examinations of India due to prestigious DCE and NSIT and a constraint of the geography of applicability. Since 85% of the seats are reserved for Delhi based candidates only. And rest 15% is for rest of the India. It has been seen in last few years students flock to schools of Delhi NCT for there 10+2 to compete for those 85% of seats. No entrance examination of India has such a peculiarity.

  • I am quite serious about AIEEE shall I go for any special preparation for DCE CEE?
  • Not required, If you required seriously preparing for AIEEE, you can certainly appear mock DCE CEE papers before the entrance.
  • What rank need I score in AIEEE for a seat in DCE or NSIT
  • DCE and NSIT along with NITs like NIT trichy, Allahabad, Kuruskhetra etc are most sought after colleges at the counseling; your rank should be fairly high for theses colleges. Right now it's better to concentrate on your preparation.
  • Where shall I emphasize more in my preparation for DCE CEE?
  • Tests, your study must be well synchronized with mock tests, online tests. In this regard online tests are better since of the strict time frame inbuilt by technology .And DCE CEE is mostly an exam of speed and accuracy. A rule which has to be followed right from the beginning is not to commit a single mistake in mock/online tests.

  • When shall I start preparation for DCE CEE?
  • Since the syllabus of DCE CEE is largely CBSE syllabus, your preparation starts from the day one at school. Make sure to complete the NCERT books with few of the objective question bank

  • Which book shall I follow for DCE CEE?
  • Though any book for AIEEE is enough, for practice better opt for books with substantial number of practice tests for DCE CEE.
  • Which college shall I opt DCE or NSIT?
  • Both colleges are among the best in India go for the college in which you find your preferred area of Engineering.
  • I have completed my Boards; I haven't gone for any preparation shall I go for DCE CEE?
  • Yes you can, since the exam is in May. you have enough time polish up your class eleventh course and make sure you are appearing regular mock tests for DCE

  • Which are the best coaching institutes for DCE CEE?
  • Any coaching institute with proven track record with AIEEE or DCE it self is good to join , make sure the batch sizes are very large and class timings are comfortable. Careerpoint , Nrayana etc have won the faith of students in previous years .

  • To what extent crash course is helpful for DCE CEE?
  • Crash courses are quite helpful in case of DCE CEE , since the time available but make sure the batch size is not too large or else crash course wont be helping you much .

  • I have appeared IIT; I am not expecting a good rank how shall I prepare for DCE to score a good rank?
  • Not to worry, at all you have to do is appear as many mock tests as possible and in this case online tests are extremely helpful.

The exam consists of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of the test is 3 hours and there are a total of 180 questions, 60 each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
