A Dummies Guide To Crack IITJEE - 4

Warm up: Start Your AIEEE-JEE Preparation

A New Beginning

A new session is starting for JEE, new people are coming... selected ones are planning for IIT Days..... people are planning to repeat or waiting for other results.... its too much action out there AND I am sitting and writing for you. Sometimes I still miss those JEE preparation days, it was a fun life.... when every new question was a challenge, every solved question was recorded as an achievement.

Anyways...gone is gone, lets talk about you people. You people are staring for JEE preparation. Its a crucial step, one wrong decision at this time and you will be studying in tesion, stress and fear. At this time, choosing coaching institute, books, accomodation, friends everything counts.

Whenever I have started anything new, I always felt that I was going to loose. When I opted for science-math in 11th std. and for the first time I studies parabola.... I thought what the hell was that, its not possible at all that I could carry this subject. But later I passed ( with good marks ;) ) . When I went to Kota for JEE preparation after my 12th std. and studied JEE, I ran..... JEE was not possible for me at all. My roommate was a dropper and a sharp guy, so I thought I would take me 4 years to reach at his level.. so I ran. But then few days later I came back, started studying for JEE and in few days time I started enjoying the coursework. Now you'll be thinking why am I saying all that to you. Only one thing I want to say friends that at this time when you are starting new kind of studies you will face lot of stress, tension and things you have never thought of. But give yourself some time and stick around.

This will take not much time to get settled. After all my studies till 12th, then JEE and then studies in IIT, I can tell you for sure that nothing can compare the enjoyment on JEE preparation.

Now, lets talk about how to study. Before saying anything let me tell you the secret of good performance. Transform JEE studies into fun studies. Now the question is how to do that, well that I have told you people earlier also. Just be honest with your studies, everyday in the morning.. decide what all you have to cover today, then do whatever you want to but by the end of the day you should cover that much. I may take 2 hours or 16 hours, once you are done then forget studies for the day and enjoy. You know what, in all my JEE preparation, me and my dear friend ratnesh never missed playing cricket for 1 hour on roof top in evenings. We watched good movies together. Cracking jokes with friends, infact somehow I managed to get some time out for poetry. But we never missed our schedules and never studied extra. Most importantly we enjoyed studying JEE, every new question was the part of enjoyment. We never took JEE studies as a burden. I still believe that my studies for JEE is the most important thing I have studied so far. Because that gave me ability to apply, ability to think quickly which is paying me off till date. So dont feel like that your studies going to be a waste if you dont succeed in JEE. This will the most important asset you will carry wherever you go.

Few more small things. If you are joining some coaching then have a faith in your teachers. Give them some time, but not too much. If you think you are lacking behind then its not wrong to reschedule your studies in your ways. Second but most important thing, competition is good but tension due to competition is dangerous. Concentrate on your studies, dont worry about others unless you are aiming for Rank 1. If somebody is doing better then you should be motivated not tensed. You will get a rank so he will. You have to ensure only one rank in JEE not all, so stop worrying about others. It saves a lot of time and improve your performance.  ....

you have more important things to do in your life.
