COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (CUSAT - 2008)
COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (CUSAT) has decided to conduct the Entrance Test for admission to the Academic Year 2008-09 on 3rd and 4th of May, 2008.
For Undergraduate programmes, 50% of the seats will be filled from the rank list of AIEEE and 50% of the seats meant for the candidates of State of Kerala will be filled through Common Admission Test conducted by the University at all District Headquarters of Kerala. For the rest of the academic programmes admissions will be through Common Admission Test conducted by the University without loosing its national character at all District Headquarters and at New Delhi. Detailed Notification will appear in the leading dailies and in the websites www.cusat.nic.in and www.cusat.ac.in by the first week of February, 2008.

Diplomas in Communicative English/Translation and Functional Hindi.
- P.G. Diploma in Coastal Zone Management (FULL – TIME)
- M.Phil. (FULL-TIME) : M.Phil. in Applied Economics, Chemistry, Chemical Oceanography, Commerce, Hindi, Life Science, Mathematics and Physics.
- M.Tech. (Full – Time) : Atmospheric Science, Computer Aided Structural Analysis & Design, Computer & Information Science, Electronics, Engineering Statistics, Industrial Catalysis, Ocean Technology, Opto – Electronics & Laser Technology, Polymer Technology, Software Engineering.

GENERAL INFORMATION
- CANDIDATES WHO HAVE APPEARED/ARE APPEARING FOR THE FINAL QUALIFYING EXAMINATINS CAN ALSO APPLY.
- Applicants for admission to 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.5, 3 above and NRI candidates are required to submit their applications through online registration on payment of Fee detailed below by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, CUSAT payable at Ernakulam. DD should be from any Nationalised/ Schedule Bank.
Fee Details:
Rs. 750/- for General Category and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST Category (for 1.1, 1.2, 2.1 & 2.5 Programmes) (for 3 Programmes).
Rs. 5750/- for candidates who apply under NRI Quota (for 3 Programmes)
Rs. 3750/- for those opting Overseas Test Centres. (Candidates under NRI Quota need not pay this amount) (for 3 Programmes)
Rs.100/- for General Category and Rs. 50/- for SC/ST Category for each additional programmes exceeding 3.
Rs.380/- for General Category and Rs. 230/- for SC/ST Category (for LET).
Foreign national students are required to visit the separate link in the website for online registration and obtaining further details of the programmes offered by the University.
Confirmation page of the online application along with the DD and photograph should reach Director, IRAA, CUSAT, Kochi – 22 on or before 17/03/2007
- Application forms for 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.6 and 2.7 are available form the respective Department / School either directly or by post on payment of Fee detailed below by way Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, CUSAT payable at Ernakulam.

- CAT for 1 st Degree Programme (B Tech and Integreted M Sc in Photonics) will be conducted with Test Centres in Allahabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Kota, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Ranchi, Varanasi, all district Head Quarters in Kerala, Dubai & Bahrain and for PG Programmes / both First Degree Programmes including LLB & PG Prgorammes will be conducted only in the centers at all the district head quarters in Kerala.
- The DAT will be conducted by the individual Department/School of the University and the Test date for DAT will be announced later.
