EAMCET 2009 Offline Application Details

After you applied for appearing in EAMCET 2009 exam, to ensure that your application details are correct and accurate as per the information you entered, apeamcet.org site has put up a page where you can check your offline application details.

As per the update available on the AP EAMCET site till now around 1 Lakh applications have been scanned for hall ticket generation.

Minimum Qualification and Eligibility criteria for EAMCET 2009

Find below the minimum qualifications and eligibility criteria for all the candidates who are aspiring to appear for the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test 2009

2.1 The minimum qualification to appear for EAMCET-2009 is

a) A pass in Intermediate Examination or appearance at 2nd year Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) conducted by the A.P. Board of Intermediate Education, with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent thereto.

b) A pass at Diploma examination or appearance at final year Diploma Examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P. or its equivalent thereto. Diploma candidates are eligible to apply for B.E/B.Tech/B.pharm courses only. Diploma in pharmacy are eligible to apply for Pharm-D course.

2.2 In case of such students who appear for the entrance Test, pending result of their qualifying examination, their entry shall be subject to their securing a pass in the said qualifying examination.

2.3 Candidates should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh as defined in the A.P. Educational Institutions (regulations for admission) order 1974 and its amendments (vide G.O.P.No. 646 dt: 10-7-79 of Education (W) Department).

EAMCET 2009 Qualifying Marks

QUALIFYING MARKS FOR EAMCET 2009 update from www.apeamcet.org

Here is an update on the minimum qualifying marks in this years EAMCET Exam - the information is taken from the following:

1. The qualifying percentage of marks in the Entrance Test is 25% i.e. 40 out of a total 160. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying mark is prescribed. But their admission will be limited to the extent of seats reserved for such categories (Vide G.O.Ms. No. 179, LEN&TE, dated 16.06.1986).

2. Further, as per G.O Ms No. 181 dated 21.05.2008 of health medical and family welfare(E1) department for admission into MBBS/BDS courses on the basis of EAMCET entrance examination, a candidate for admission to those courses must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology taken together both at qualifying and EAMCET examination.

In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC must have obtained not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together both at qualifying and EAMCET examination.
