Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET), 2009 and G2CET, 2009 to be held on May 13, 14 and 15, 2009, in Goa
Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2009 for admissions to first-year professional degree courses and G2CET to get into direct second-year degree courses in engineering and pharmacy would be conducted on May 13, 14 and 15, 2009, in Goa.
Addressing the press conference, Education Minister Babush Monserrate announced the dates — May 13 and 14 for GCET and May 15 for G2CET. Reading from a press communiqué, he mentioned, “GCET would be conducted in five subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Computer Science – based on syllabus prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education.”
Monserrate read out further, “There shall be 100% weightage for GCET results for preparing the merit list to various professional degree courses. The eligibility criteria for admissions to various professional degree courses, as well as basis for preparation of merit list shall be same as followed in the year 2008.”
Separate prospectus containing complete details together with application forms would be made available by February end at specified locations and also on the website www.dtegoa.gov.in.
