ENTRANCE EXAMINATION – 2008
The Entrance Examinations for Admission to B.E./B.Sc. (Ag.) and B.Sc (Horti). Programmes of the Annamalai University for the Year 2008-2009 are scheduled to be conducted by the University.
Appearing for the entrance Examination is COMPULSORY FOR CANDIDATES seeking Admission to these programmes. These Entrance Examination are for the Candidates to TAMILANADU and for those who satisfy the Nativity/Domicile requirements specified by the University for Admission to these Programmes.
Selection to various Programmes will be governed by the procedures laid down by the University.
PROGRAMMES OFFERED
ENGINEERING: B.E. - Civil/ Civil & Dtructural / Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Electrical & Electronics & Instrumention/ Chemical Engineering/ Computer Science & Engineering/ information Technology and Electronics & Communication.
AGRICULTURE: B.Sc. Agriculture/ B.Sc. Horticulture.
GENERAL INSTURCTIONS: Candidates who are appearing for Higher Secondary Or Equivalent Qualifying Examinations during March- May 2008 and candidates who have already passed H.Sc Or Other Equivalent Qualifying Examinations are eligible to apply for these Entrance Examinations.
The Entrance Examinations will be conducted in the following scheduled and subjects.
Paper 1: Biology (Botany & Zoology): 06.05.2008 (Forenoon)
Paper 2: 06.05.2008 (Afternoon)
Paper 3: Mathematics: 07.05.2008.
** [Questions for the above examinations will be based only on the syllabi and test Books prescribed for the Second year of the Tamil Nadu H.Sc. (Academic) Course).
Admission will be made on the basis of Marks obtained in the relevant Subjects in the Qualifying Examination (H.Sc. Or Equivalent) and in the Entrance Examinations, with weightage of Marks 200 and 100 respectively.
The Tamilnadu SC/ ST Candidates desirous of obtaining the Application Forms at the Confessional rates should submit a Certificate obtained from the Head of the Institution last studied/ Studied/ studying in the format given below:

IMPORTANT DATES
Issue of Application Forms Commences form: 03.03.2008
Last Date for issue of Application form: 02.04.2008
Last Date for receipt of Filled in Application forms: 09.04.2008
METHOD OF PAYMENT: Application form can be obtained IN PERSON by CASH payment at the University Cash Counter on all working Days. (Holidays: All Saturday, Sunday and Other Government Holidays).
To get Application Forms by POST the candidate should send a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 400/- (Except SC/ST Candidates) for SC/ST candidates they have to send a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 200/- along with a Certificate as specified above. The DEMAND DRAFT should be drawn in favour of THE REGISTRAR, ANNAMALI UNIVERSITY, ANNAMALAIINAGAR- 608002 obtained on OR after 02.03.2008 from ANY BANK Payable at CHENNAI and a self-addressed KRAFT Envelope of size 35 cm x 15 cm with Stamps affixed to the value of the 15/-.
Candidates are advised to write their Name and Address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
Application forms will be sent ONLY BY ORDINARY POST and the University will not be held responsible for non-receipt of application forms.
NOTE: Please quote the Reference Number of the Notification in the top of the Request latter without fail.
